Charles is a U.S. and Hong Kong qualified lawyer, who practices corporate, commercial and intellectual property law at an international law firm in Hong Kong, and has previously worked in the U.S. and the PRC.

While born and raised locally, Charles has received all of his higher education from the United States – he holds a Bachelor of Science degree Magna Cum Laude from Northwestern University, a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Boston College Law School, and a Master of Science degree from Stanford University, where he was schoolmates with Regina Ip, Ronald Chan and Jonathan Choi.

At Savantas, Charles focuses on understanding how the government’s promulgation of intellectual property law is shaping the technology landscape of the region. He also strives to determine the optimal legal environment from which a knowledge-based economy can be derived in Hong Kong. He aspires Savantas would provide one of the driving forces to propel such development.
