After receiving his B.S. Magna Cum Laude from Northwestern University, Charles earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Boston College Law School with emphasis on intellectual property law and corporate law. Charles then practiced as an intellectual property attorney at Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione in Chicago while specialized in patent prosecution and litigation, and gained Illinois and USPTO bar admissions. Subsequently, he left Brinks for Stanford University on a fellowship and graduated with his M.S. Charles has now returned to Hong Kong and joined Wilkinson & Grist as an intellectual property attorney. He aims to draw upon his talents in science and the law to help build Hong Kong.
